Halloween Yacht Party with TICKLE WATER

We love being one of the first to find out about cool new products, and then sharing it with the world! It's our job, isn't it? Well, we never want to disappoint, so say hello to Tickle Water, sparkling water for kids (and adults!). We were invited to a fun Halloween-themed party on a yacht to celebrate the launch of this unique brand. We are big fans already!

Love the packaging, the flavors and the fizz. The brand was created by mom Heather McDowell to encourage kids to drink water with a bit of a "tickle" for kids throats. Genius! If you have a kid that doesn't like to drink water, this may be your ticket! Check out a few pictures from the event below and then check out where you can find the product here.

Tristin + Tyler's Threads: Converse CHUCK II Release Event

Not only have the boys been rocking Converse Chucks on a regular basis since they were 5, I've rocked them for years. Even when they are worn down and dirty, they are still our go to kicks. This week we were invited to the launch of Converse's Chuck II sneakers.  Converse truly stepped up their game! More sole, more comfort and bright lines since there is so much more white going on. I'm already styling outfits with them for the blog the next few weeks, so get ready. Are you a Chuck Taylor fan or you a fan now? What do you think of the upgrade?

Tristin + Tyler's Weekend Picks: 3.6.15

the weekend 3,6,15We are so excited it's March already, that means Spring is really on the way! Im in the process of trying to lose some weight so I am not rushing Spring at all, but the boys can't wait to get outside, ride their bikes and hang with friends. Today is my husband's birthday, we are so excited! The boys made the cutest cards for him. He works on the weekends so I am hoping we get to spend some time with him outdoors in the next few days but, if all else fails, we'll definitely try to make our own version of this treat I loved as a kid with Jello, the boys will rock their favorite boots EVER and we're gonna see what all the hype is about on this new kids app. Hope you try these fun ideas along with us!

Oh, and if you haven't already, please SUBSCRIBE to our YOUTUBE Channel, we are about to really get our video on again and we want YOU along for the ride! HAPPY WEEKEND!

Tristin + Tyler's Wkend Picks: 2.21.15

the weekend 2.21.15I can't beleieve NYC is still under a deep freeze! I know it's all I talk about on this blog lately, but I literally cringle when I go outside. I hope you are all fairing better than us New Yorkers this month.

This weekend it's all about loving the classics.  From these awesome velcro sneakers from Adidas collaboration with Star Wars, to letting the little ones enjoy tons of  musical entertainment on a street we all grew up loving! Oh, and this delish treat lets the kids get hands on - literally.  It may look creepy, but we're going to try it! if you do it too, share images with us by tagging @tristinandtyler.

Hope you try one of our picks! Happy Weekend, stay warm!

What's Cool? The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water!

spongobob20151

The boys have been huge fans of Spongebob since...forever, really, so they were super excited to get to see the film before it opens in theatres this Friday, February 6th - we even brought cousing Madison along. Thanks to our friends, the Moms, we got a chance to see the film and hang out with two of its stars! I NEVER spoil movies, so I won't give you too many details. But, I will say that despite flashes of Patrick's butt and birds poo-ing (both things that kids find hilarious), as a parent, I liked that the underlying theme of the movie was about bringing people together to solve a common issue. In an age of bullying and kids that are in cliques that exclude others, it's nice that the movie showed how coming together, even with someone who may be your "enemy", can help the greater good. I can't help but also love the makeover's the characters got! Check out Spongebob's abs in the photo below!  Make sure to check out the film with your kiddos this weekend and visit here to learn more about it!

What's Up, City Kid?! - Graffiti + Flip Books

Screen Shot 2015-01-23 at 5.51.46 PM

There is art everywhere in NYC. Whether you watch someone singing on the subway, or see a mural on the metal gates of a closed store, there are so many places to get inspired by creativity. We were excited to visit the Museum of the City of New York (MCNY) for their City As Canvas exhibit and learn all about the history of street art, see some really cool pieces from the some of the most prolific graffiti writers and make grafitti flip books. The City As Canvas exhibit is no longer at the museum, but they have so many great exhibits and free craft workshops, you have to check them out!  To see Tristin and Tyler's fun visit, check out the VIDEO HERE or click the image above (if you can't see it below).

Do your kiddos have a favorite museum for art? Do your kids notice art in places besides the expected? This weekend is the perfect time to head to a museum and see what new (or old) exhibits inspire you -- if you're in New York, I definitely recomment MCNY!

HAPPY WEEKEND!

Plants that grow in a cork? Donuts with lavender sugar? We met and interviewed some really innovative small business owners at the Urban Space NYC Holiday Market in Union Square last weekend!  We are huge supporters of small businesses because we love to spread the word about people who are following their dreams like we are. We've been sharing small business stories since the boys were 5 years old!

Have you heard of Urban Space NYC? They set up shopping markets all around NYC. Just in time for the holidays, we headed to the Union Square market and checked out some really cool gift ideas from some super creative guys and gals! Need last minute holiday gift ideas? Take a look at our video HERE if you can't see it below and get inspired!  Please feel free to share via social media and tag us at @tristinandtyler so we can thank you for doing it!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
