Tristin + Tyler's mom and producer, Tiffany, takes you behind the scenes of the brand.

Halloween Yacht Party with TICKLE WATER

We love being one of the first to find out about cool new products, and then sharing it with the world! It's our job, isn't it? Well, we never want to disappoint, so say hello to Tickle Water, sparkling water for kids (and adults!). We were invited to a fun Halloween-themed party on a yacht to celebrate the launch of this unique brand. We are big fans already!

Love the packaging, the flavors and the fizz. The brand was created by mom Heather McDowell to encourage kids to drink water with a bit of a "tickle" for kids throats. Genius! If you have a kid that doesn't like to drink water, this may be your ticket! Check out a few pictures from the event below and then check out where you can find the product here.

Just a few more days till Halloween and do we have another pretty gross (but yummy) Halloween snack for ya! Check out this Mini Munchers that took Tristin and Tyler less than a minute to make! Want a quick, easy snack the kiddos to make themselves? THIS IS IT. Don't take my word for it, watch the video HERE or see it below!  Now as yourself, would you eat something that looks like it could eat you?? I would. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Tristin + Tyler's Threads: StellaWEEN

SONY DSC

First off, let me say that this was one of the funniest photo shoots I have ever shot! The boys really got into these mustaches!  If you have a kiddo that doesn't want to dress up (yes, those kids do exist), I wanted to do a post all about giving your child a fun disguise, and a ton of cool-kid style.  Stella McCartney Kids sent the boyz these awesome bat tees. I paired them with leather, denim + mustaches and POOF, these kids were little men ready for Halloween fun. Tyler went nutz acting like Michael Jackson, not sure why -- did MJ ever have a mustache? Anyway, will your kids be rocking cool-kid Halloween style?  By the way, check out Stella's cool pumpkin tee. Not only is it organic, proceeds from this tee go towards expanding schools in Kenya. Love that.

More fun outakes from this shoot will be going up on Instagram, make sure you follow us so you can see them - they are HILARIOUS! Happy Halloween! xx

Tristin + Tyler's No Carve Pumpkin Fun

SONY DSC

Pumpkin carving has always been a fun part of Halloween. BUT as a mom, I'm nervous about the kids cutting pumpkins, even with those so-called child-proof knives. So I LOVE that there are so many ways to decorate pumpkins WITHOUT carving. Tristin, Tyler and their little cousin Madison got together with paint, washi tape, jewels and some spray paint to decorate pumpkins without a bit of carving (or mess!!!). I love that each child created something completely different. Madison mixed every color, Tristin tried (and succeded at) making a new color and Tyler made an alien. Everyone's individuality really shined. Do you agree? Are you still carving pumpkins this year or decorating? Oh, by the way, the gold pumpkin with the jewels was my creation -- I told you I was really getting into crafting!  Happy Halloween!

How To Rock Halloween w/ Chasing Fireflies

SONY DSC

Don't be scared boys and galz, it's just your friendly gargoyle and skeleton knight all set for Halloween thanks to Chasing Fireflies!

Much to my chagrin, my little dudes have been selecting Halloween costumes that have become increasingly scary over the years. Is that what pre-tweens like? Ugh! But, creepiness and all, I am so impressed by the level of detail and quality in these costumes by Chasing Fireflies.  Have you checked out their site? From hot dogs, pirates to fairies and more, they boast a serious selection of costumes.

The boys are truly into scaring people these days, so I like that these costumes work well for them to play in too -- not just a one-time use for Halloween.  The other day Tristin wore this glow-in-the-dark skeleton hoodie and the gargoyle wings out and about in our neighborhood.  I was so worried he was going to mess up the wings and wouldn't have them for Halloween, but again, the quality held it all together -- and Tristin does love to play rough!

Make sure to check out Chasing Fireflies here! You have plenty of time to get costumes shipped right to your door (I loved that too, no pushing and shoving at the pop-up costume stores).  Happy shopping!

Get to Swappin'

HALLOWEEN! Yes, I said it, I know you think it's to early to say the words "trick-or-treat" or "costume"  but it is coming up fast!  Have you gotten your kids' costumes already? Me either!  But no worry!  There's no stress in finding (or paying for) costumes if you host and/or attend a Costume Swap!

Yup, kids all over the country are swapping costumes thanks to www.greenhalloween.org!  National Costume Swap DayTM is October 8, 2011!  It's all about encouraging your community NOT to throw away costumes that no longer fit (or that your child refuses to wear) and swap it out for a costume your child will adore!
Yup, swapping these too!

How can YOU get to swappin'?  Well, you can check the Green Halloween website to see if there is a Costume Swap in your area.  Or, even better, host a swap yourself!

It's so easy to host your own swap! You can register with Green Halloween at no cost!  Whether your swap is big or small, you are:

1. helping to reduce the amount of waste in landfills, including plastic packaging and other hard to recycle materials,

2. saving money and

3. teaching your kids that sharing is TRULY caring!

Want hosting tips? Visit here! For what kind of healthy treats to share, games to play and ways to be sure and have a successful swap!

Want some more resources? Check out one of my FAVORITE magazines for healthy kiddies Kiwi Magazine!   If you just can't get enough tips, visit Swap.com!

Tristin and Tyler will definitely be participating in National Costume Swap DayTM  They even have a really cool video coming up all about costume swapping fun with friends!
