One of the most iconic New York City spots is closing on July 15th! Have you ever been to FAO SCHWARZ toy store? Well it is on Fifth Avenue in NYC and it is the most iconic toy store EVER! I remember going there as a child and being totally enamored by the huge stuffed animals and the loads of toys on every floor. Since it's closing in a month, I had to bring Tristin and Tyler there to do a little shopping and take it all in before it closes. What's Cool: Throwboy!

How cool are these emoji pillows by our friends over at Throwboy? When the team over at Throwboy sent these over I surprised the boys with them and they were ecstatic! They kept hugging them like they were their brand new friends! Lol! What's Cool: Playing with Food at Polarn O. Pyret

As you know, Tristin and Tyler LOVE to cook. They also love to eat, pretty much everything (!!) but I am big stickler on not allowing the boys to play with their food. Well, last weekend thanks to our friends at Swedish children's wear brand Polarn O. Pyret, we made a HUGE exception as we let kids get creative with healthy ingredients to launch Polarn O. Pyret's Festive Kitchen Collection.

From adorable chef hats, aprons and clothing with animated healthy food characters, this collection will definitely inspire your little guy or gal to get in the kitchen and hopefully... eat their veggies! Definitely check out the collection and take a peek at how our friends at the event got creative! Even parents got in on the action! Does your kid like to cook?

Happy Weekend! Here's what we think you should do this weekend..no pressure!

FOOD: Well, this weekend we're excited because Tristin + Tyler are hosting a fun food project at Polarn O. Pyret's Chambers Street store from 2-4pm! Polarn O. Pyret is launching awesome gear for kid chefs (the hats you see above and more) and we're excited to be there and craft with food! If you're nearby, join us at 299 Chambers Street.

FASHION: The boys are all about their Dr. Martens boots these days. This weekend try rocking yours, get some new ones or, if you missed our camo boots post, enjoy it here!

FUN: One of our FAVORITE exhibits is back in NYC till November 20th. Have you ever checked out Canstruction. This exhibit not only shows the amazing artistic skills of individuals who can basically craft anything out of cans of food, the exhibit is philanthropic because the food is donated to local hunger relief organizations at the end of the exhibition. Art that gives back. Love.

Cooking with Tristin + Tyler: Raddish Kids

Guess, what? I'm never buying strawberry jam again -- thanks to Raddish, a subscription cooking kit for kids. Cooking in the kitchen with kids isn't easy. I personally get a little nervous and want to jump in every thirty seconds and help out even though I probably shouldn't. I love to see Tristin + Tyler's skills grow on the stove and with knives, but since I don't love to cook, I need a little motivation to keep the boys' progressing. Raddish gives kids the skills and helpful tips they need to complete a recipe, and it all comes right in your mailbox! Don't get me wrong, your child will still need supervision while they work on a recipe, but it was nice to see T+T take charge and get started gathering ingridients and understanding what they needed to do to get the job done using the helpful cards in the kit. I still can't believe that T+T and their 4 year-old cousin Maddie made their own strawberry jam! Honestly, it tasted better than the store-bought version in my fridge. The best part about this adventure was that when they were all done the boys said: "Now we know what we are eating!" Does it get better than that? If you have a little guy or gal who wants to get started in the kitchen, starting with Raddish is a good, safe and fun way to go! xx

#1FunThing: Play A Game Outdoors!

Happy Friday! This weekend's #1FunThing challenge is to play game outdoors! Whether it's UNO, Clue, charades or something else, head outdoors and play it and do something fun. The boys all of a sudden are so into playing chess. Honestly, I can't stand it. Too much thinking going on. I do so much analytical thinking at work so once I am "playing" I REALLY want to be "playing." I am glad they like it though, it really encourages them to think strategically. #1FUNTHING: Water Fight Challenge Kids!

1. Our cousin Madison celebrated her 4th birthday in Miami last weekend so she had a water fight with her godmother in some seriously gorgeous water. Ahhh, what a life she has!! Happy 4th Maddie-Cakes! You can follow along with Maddie and her jewelery line here!

2. The twin gals from @Twindollicious had an adorable gigling water fight in the Hamptons! Don't you love their matching outfits! These cuties came to our Polarn O. Pyret event a few months back and they are so sweet! Follow them here!
