Tristin + Tyler Featured On: Better Connecticut TV!

Screen Shot 2015-04-10 at 11.46.46 AM It's Spring Time and it's also Earth Month, so every year around this time we try to think up some fun, easy craft ideas utilizing recycled or upcycled materials. So instead of throwing away things like an empty water bottle, wine cork or scraps of construction paper, Tristin + Tyler transform them into something new.  We headed to one of our favorite TV programs, Better Connecticut, to share what we came up with this year including, a cute chicken craft made from scraps of construction paper, plastic water bottle art and my personal favorite: a lady bug pin and straw identifiers made out of milk jug plastic! Check out Tristin + Tyler's segment below (or HERE if you can't see it below), and stay tuned for full tutorials next week! Happy Weekend!

Easter Quick Craft: Glitter Easter Box

EASTERBOX1TEXT Happy Easter! I hope you are all spending time with family and friends! Here's a super quick DIY. I'm sort of tired of Easter baskets, been getting them and giving them my entire life so I found this awesome glitter box in Michael's craft store (here's a similar one) that came in different colors so I had to have it. These little boxes are also awesome for birthdays or other parties and they are super cheap. Definitely check them out. See the full tutorial below and enjoy the rest of the weekend and if your kiddos are on Spring break like Tristin and Tyler, I hope you're going somewhere fun! xo, Tiffany

Materials

Scissors + Glitter Box + Toys and candy + Pink and White Foam Core + Elastic + Glue Gun (not pictured)

(Side note: The bunny ears don't stay upright on their own, so you can glue a small piece of elastic from the back of each ear from the middle of ear to the bottom of the ear to keep them upright).

Tristin Featured In: Kenneth Cole Kids Ad Campaign

You may not know this, but Tristin and Tyler model and act individually in addition to working with companies under the "Tristn + Tyler" brand. The boys have an agent and spend a ton of time in and out of auditions after school and on weekends. They book some, don't book others - it's truly a crazy busy game that can really mess with your child's confidence level if they don't get things they really want, but they love the opportunity and challenge to show their stuff, so I make it happen for them!

I'm excited to share a few images from the Kenneth Cole Reaction SS 2015 campaign featuring Tristin! The images are on their website and in a certain department stores - definitely snap a shot and hashtag #tristinandtyler if you ever see them! I am a big fan of Kenneth Cole for boys, their shoes are so durable! What do you think of the images, pretty slick huh? Below are a few behind the scenes images too. Tristin had so much fun playing with the dog that was in the photo studio. He was also a big fan of people waitiing on him, doing his hair and tailoring his outfit. It was cute to see how professional he was during it all.

Oh, and by the way the boys want to start vlogging so look out for some videos on their YouTube channel going behind the scenes of their lives! They are excited to do stuff that's not scripted so this should be interesting...I mean super fun! Subscribe to their YouTube Channel here so you don't miss anything!

What's Up, City Kid?! - Behind the Scenes of "Peg + Cat"

Peg+Cat_Pond_FINAL_FORABOUT

Being the creative gal that I am, I love getting a sneak peek into how other creatives make their art come alive, so I was super excited to head to Brooklyn with Tristin and Tyler and go behind the scenes of the PBS Kids series PEG + CATIn a world where most kids don't like math, or they think of it as boring, Peg + Cat takes math to a whole different level with upbeat storytelling, beautifully composed music, fun problem-solving and a friendship between a girl and her cat that will make you wish your cat could talk! I will say no more! Meet the team behind Peg + Cat in the latest episode of "What's Up, City Kid?"
