What's Cool: Amazon's Creative Galaxy

Amazon Studios is on fire when it comes to children's programming! Earlier this week we were invited to the screening and craft event for the latest original series from one our favorite producers Angela Santomero called Creative Galaxy. Creative Galaxy, which features the celebrity voices of Jason Priestley and Cloris Leachman among others, is an animated pre-school series that follows the creative adventures of Artie, a super creative little alien. Whether drawing pictures to find his dog, or making his own constellations for a night under the starts, Artie uses art to solve problems. Being the super crafty mom that I am, I love that at the end of each episode two kids do the craft featured in the show. Two kids crafting, just like T&T have been doing since making bugs out of newspaper! After the screening, the kids were invited to craft and draw. The show really encouraged the kids to get creative and boy did they! Loved that. If you've got a little creative kiddo, THIS series is for you. Creative Galaxy launches on June 27th on Amazon Prime! Tristin + Tyler's Threads: RUUM Kid's Wear

It's soooo great to find a kids' clothing brand that cares about quality, looks good and is affordable. Say HELLO to Ruum American Kid's Wear. From comfortable polo shirts like the boys have on,  to great denim and chino shorts, Ruum has the basics down but they are not afraid to turn it up a notch with their fun tees and bright colors. Tristin + Tyler's Threads: Dress Like Dad

Father's day is coming up fast and I don't know about you, but my guys love looking and acting like their dad. Dad is a BIG artist and lately all three of my guys have been working so hard on art projects and I am so proud of them. They come home and spend HOURS drawing. Oh and another thing, they've started a band together! Love the boy-bonding. So, in honor of dad and boy-bonding, I wanted to style an outfit for T&T that any dad can wear with their little dude. What do you think? I love the pop of the jersies with the structured blazers. I had to feature the jersies of our faves Michael Jordan and our number one Knick!  HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to the dudes in your life! What will you be doing with daddy-O this weekend?

Tristin + Tyler's Threads: JAMZ Streetwear

One of our fave brands Hello Merch is expanding their line to not only include these awesome duds, but streetwear with Jamz Streetwear. Bright colors, bold prints and a whole lotta edge is what makes these tops and accessories pop! We're a big fan of graphic tees over here and the boys only want to wear items that speak to their individual style and make s statement - these tops hit the mark! We cut the sleeves off of Tristin's tee for more edge - you like? One of the things I reallly love about Hello Merch is that they always make their merchandise for adults and kids so you can match your "mini me" - love that! If you can't tell from the photos, Tyler was having a bad day so Tris spent a ton of time making him smile. The cool tees helped too! Love when these two look out for eachother...ahhh, amore.

Tristin + Tyler's Threads: Stella McCartney "Maleficent" Collection

In anticipation of Disney’s film MALEFICENT starring Angelina Jolie as the wicked fairy godmother Maleficent, and Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora, Stella McCartney created an awesome, character-filled capsule Stella McCartney Kids collection. WOO HOO! You'll also love that 10 percent of sales from the collection will benefit SOS Children’s Villages. YAY!!!

You know us by now, don't you? We thought so. Then it's no suprise that if there's a hot kids collection, Tristin + Tyler have to rock it!  So Stella McCartney Kids was kind enough to send us some of the MALEFICENT pieces to check out (woot woot!). Between the wings on Tyler's sneakers and the creatures on Tristin's sweater, we are totally sold on the collection. Tristin + Tyler's Threads: Molo

I love scouring the web and finding awesome brands for my little dudes. It's getting harder to find quality, stylish clothing for little guys these days! If you're a mom of boys, you know what I mean. But, I've saved the day once again! Let me introduce you to Molo, a childrenswear brand based in Denmark for boys and girls from 0-12 years of age. Molo is not only about unique style and details that you can't find anywhere else, the clothing is comfortable AND smart. Take Tyler's denim shirt for example, you would never guess that it zips closed! How easy is that for kids in the morning? Did you peep the details in Tristin's denim shirt and pants? I mean really, soooo hot! Molo has the basics you need, but they don't shy away from super-creative graphics your little dudes + dudettes would love to rock.  You're definitely going to see a ton of Molo on the boys.

HAPPY EARTH DAY: 5 Fun Green Activities for Kids

Happy Earth Day 2014 Everyone! This is one of our favorite "holidays" because it is one day where people who normally don't focus on the Earth or its resources, actually do. Here are a few fun activities from the Tristin + Tyler archives that you can do with your littles. Since most New York City public school kiddos don't have school, it's a great day to take on one (or more) of these projects before heading back to classes tomorrow! Enjoy!

1. Head to A Local Nature Center - Most towns and cities have local nature centers where kids can learn about the animals and plants that live in their parks. The boys had a ball when they went to the Inwood nature center here in NYC. They met Sunny the park ranger, and learned how to take care of trees with mulch and water. It was hard work, but they loved it! You can see the video below.

2. Head to a Gardening Class - There are so many fun ways for kids to learn about gardening and caring for plants and flowers. Look one up. They are usually pretty inexpensive depending on what area you are in. It's fun to watch kids as they grow life, they are so amazed! If you're a New Yorker, try here.

3. Reuse Something - If it's raining out, take the fun indoors. It's sooo easy to reuse stuff from around the house. And kids LOVE the idea of takng something ordinary and making it EXTRAordinary! We are big fans of toilet paper roll people, but what else can you make out of toilet paper rolls, a milk jug or coffee filters? The possibilities are endless!

4. Head to A Bookstore for Green Reading - If the weather just isn't right for trekking outdoors, head to bookstore for some green reading! One our fave books is Think Green also try reading about super hero vegetables from the Super Sprowtz! We were lucky to meet them and be a part of their website! :)

5. Take a Short Bike Trip - If you're lucky enough to have a safe bike trail around you, take a ride with the family today. So much to see and do when you're not pre-occupied with TV and/or video games.
