What's Cool: Tristin + Tyler's 10th Bday Presented by Diesel

A glow in the dark family dance party for kids? I'll take a party for two, please! Thanks to our pals over at the global fashion brand Diesel, Tristin and Tyler spent their 10th birthday partying it up with friends and family till the wee hours of the...afternoon, as Diesel presented TEN: A Celebration of Tristin + Tyler's 10th Bday and Dance Party for Kids with Big Dreams!

Pink Elephant Club, usually reserved for adult celebrities like Rihanna, opened its doors to little tykes of all sizes for a Fuzipop event filled with fun, laughter and of course, lots of dancing! Kids dressed in their best duds and strutted their stuff with dance and DJ lessons taught by professionals and more. 

The party was not just about celebrating 10 years of my little guys, but also their accomplishments as budding actors, reporters and personalties. It was also about celebrating the artist, creator and individuality in all kiddos.

In addition to Diesel, we had some AMAZING sponsors for this event like Kids Foot Locker, the best place to get active wear and sneakers for your children, WAT-AAH! kids bottled water company who kept kids hydrated as they moved and grooved, New York Family Magazine ofcourse -- where else could you find out the best things to do with kiddos in New York City? TEN: TRISTIN + TYLER'S 10TH BIRTHDAY PRESENTED BY DIESEL KID

We are so excited to announce Tristin + Tyler's 10th birthday party!!! We are having a kids dance party called:

TEN: A CELEBRATION OF TRISTIN + TYLER'S 10TH BIRTHDAY & KIDS WITH BIG DREAMS.

Not only is this event about celebrating ten years of my fabulous babies (hee hee), it is a celebration of these mini entrepreneurs and all other kids who are creative and have goals to do things that will change the planet.  We are super excited to have DIESEL KID presenting the event! What's Cool: Crafting Kid Made Modern Style #MyKindOfHoliday

We are big crafters/artists in our house so we pretty much own every crafting material known to man, woman

We were recently invited to a fun Kids Made Modern #MyKindofHoliday event with Todd Oldham in his 
manhattan studio. Oh what fun the boys had! From creating jewelery and 3D art on canvases to sipping hot 
chocolate with whipped cream and chocoloate chips, the boys had a ball using these super-unique supplies. 
Oh and guess what? Kid Made Modern has awesome activity kits so kids can make things like picture frames and

Target Back to School Event

I'll admit, I'm a crappy planner when it comes to back to school time -- I get totally overwhelmed. Thankfully, Target invited us to their back to school event and it woke me up! Maybe this year I can get started early, for once! Why thank you, Target!

So, while kids got crafty with Lyss at the event, moms chatted about cool graphics on backpacks and bright-colored denim and accessories. What's cool this season? Colors, layers and accessories. I am a BIG fan of layers and mixing patterns, Target is right up my alley and the price is always right. My fav item from Target this summer was the boys' camo shorts (see below).  Tristin and Tyler have worn them just about everywhere this summer with everything from a tee to a button down shirt - obsessed much? Yes, I am.  Obsessed and proud.  :0)  For the Fall I am so excited about finding similar pieces that I am just as obsessed with that work with everything -- and I know I will find them at Target.

What's Cool: The Smurfs 2

Isn't it funny how these days animated films entertain adults? Remember the Smurfs when you were a child? My mom couldn't even get through one episode with me! Nowadays, animated films are just as much for little kids as they are for big kids like me!  We were invited to an advance screening of The Smurfs 2 last week and had a chance to hang with Smurfette and Papa Smurf. I was cracking up and almost turning blue (pun intended) because the film was so funny! With celebrities like Katy Perry, Neil Patrick Harris and Christina Ricci lending their voices to play Smurfs, this movie was awesome.  From amazing graphics and music that had my head bopping from beginning to attend, you've gotta take the lil ones to see this flick!

  I love the message in the film; you can be the person you want to be, no matter where you come from.  Nowadays, with kids being so easily influenced by others, this is a great message to share. Don't cha think? I don't spoil movies, so those are all the deets you're gonna get from me! Make sure to check out The Smurfs 2 yourself! It was fun, smart and thoughtful - it opens in theatres on July 31, 2013!

Reporting for Time Out NY Kids: The Cupcake Crawl

Holy cupcakes! We're so excited to share our second video for TimeOut New York Kids with you! Did you see our first video about Vogue Bambini's Kids Fashion Week?  We love reporting for TONY and checking out the coolest events and activities for your family to try!  This time we team up with Sugar Tooth Tours for a cupcake crawl around New York City. We hopped on the train and walked the city till we found some really cool cupcake spots that aren't the big chain bakeries you're used to. Tristin + Tyler's Threads: Mix & Match

I love mixing and matching colors and textures for the boys outfits. It's so fun to see how things play out. This is what they wore to the After Earth screening last week. Nothing really "matches" per say, but it all works, huh? I tried a few outfits on them before choosing this one, but this outfit had a little rock and roll and cool kid all mixed up!
