Move on over Food Network stars, Tristin + Tyler are coming for ya thanks to the awesome kids network batteryPOP! You can now see Tristin + Tyler's cooking episodes on a SAFE website for kids videos! If you want to make a healthy snack, that kids can make with little to no help from mom and dad, you really have to check out these episodes!

It's hard enough getting Tristin + Tyler to stay off of electronics like my iPad or my phone, so it's good to know that when their on these devices, I can send them somewhere safe. When they are clicking around YouTube, they will inevitably find something that is inappropriate or not what was intended. Battery Pop has cartoons, music videos and live action series that are all appropriate for your kids.  Kids also get the opportunity to have their say on which content rocks by "popping" videos they like. Do you let your children go online on their own? If so, definitely check out batteryPOP! And..  (shameless plug time...) make sure to POP a few of T&T's cooking episodes - it really is great content for kiddos.

Back to Cool Style Guide 2014

SONY DSC

I know some of your littles are already back in school so we're a little late (sorry!) -- but since Tristin + Tyler don't start till early September, we've put together a BACK TO COOL STYLE GUIDE to give you our list of fashion must-haves for back to school! We worked with some of our favorite brands to bring you a shoppable mini-magazine full of style ideas. What do I mean by "shoppable"? Well, pretty much every image allows you to click it and go directly to where you can buy it online -- cool huh!? If you're interested in something that doesn't have a link, just leave a comment below and I will get back to you on where you can find it.  It's taken weeks to put this together with me shooting all the images, sourcing the style finds and working around the schedules of our fab models, Madison, Brianna and T&T -- but it was so worth it! Thanks to all who helped get this together! Are you ready?? Click HERE or the image below to check it out! We hope you enjoy!

Let us know what you think in the comments below and HAPPY NEW SCHOOL YEAR

xx Tiffany

Tristin + Tyler Featured In: Cabbages + Kids F/W Lookbook

Good accessories can make any outfit pop don't cha think? Cabbages & Kings is a children's apparel line that we've loved for years! Remember this shoot? It's one of my faves, specifically because of the scarves. Tristin + Tyler were asked to model for Cabbages & Kings F/W 2014 lookbook and we were so excited! The brand is run by an awesome entrepreneur and mom, Alexandra Gizela. Thanks to her, and just in time for back to school, you can say buh-bye to itchy wool scarves and hello to super durable + soft, handmade pieces from Peru that your kids probably won't lose because they like them so much! Sounds like a win-win to me! Check out the pics below and make sure to check out the rest of the lookbook here! xx

Tristin + Tyler Featured On: THE TODAY SHOW

WOWZA, I  mean really!?? The Today Show? We are actually still in shock and still reeling after our fun time with Hoda and Kathie Lee on The Today Show last week. The boys were so excited to show their crafting chops and share DIY instructions on how to make egg carton caterpillars, embezzeled crowns, jewelery and our FAVE, mini terrariums! The show got really funny when Tyler kept saying "My mom made this!" and "My dad made that!" boy was he proud of his parents taking after HIS footsteps.

We loved being on the show, what a great team these women have behind them. And Hoda and Kathie Lee? Soooo down to earth and hilarious on and OFF the camera! They rock! We hope to be back there soon!  If you missed the show, no worries! We have it for ya here! Let us know what you think! xx

Tristin + Tyler's Threads: petitePARADE Outfit #2

SONY DSC

We're recapping the awesome brands Tristin + Tyler rocked while hosting petitePARADE last weekend. They wore a total of three outfits on stage. If you missed outfit #1, check it out here. For look #2, we changed the boys' style up a bit.  Tyler had a skater-boy look going on while Tristin looked a like a little foreigner with his cool hat and polka dot Dr. Martens.  Tyler is rocking Munster Kids which we picked up from our fave NYC kids shop Babesta.  Munster is a brand from Australia and I love how their clothes are all about comfort (which is what boys really care about) with a little bit of edge. Tyler's shorts have a reptile pattern, but they are super soft. Tristin is rocking Loud Apparel again - we are so falling in love with that brand. Loud uses black, whites and grey to make real statement pieces, it's amazing. His tee says "one day I'll grow up." So cute!

What do you think of these outfits?  Do you think dressing kids in different styles is cool, or do your kiddos always match? Stay tuned for our full petitePARADE recap, and the cool brands they wore for outfit #3.

What's Cool: Tristin + Tyler Rock the Kids Food Festival!

SONY DSC

This past weekend the boys cooked a fruit-topped, healthy snack for kids during their live (yes, live!) demonstration at the Kids Food Festival called SNACK ATTACK: Fun Snacks for Kids, By Kids. You know those times when your kid is SO hungry after school that you have to have a snack prepared, or you send them to an afterschool program with an extra snack? Well that's what their demo was all about -- teaching kids how to make a healthy snack right after school with little to no help from parents!  It was so great to watch the boys have fun on stage, teach kids about cooking and eating healthy and actually see festival-goers love what the boys made!

waffle image

Tristin + Tyler made mini waffle bites topped with fruit and a drizzle of honey. What I love most about this recipe is that it's super easy, and kids can add whatever fruit they want! Want to try it? Here's the recipe:

Ingridients:  Frozen mini waffle bites + Fruit of Choice + Honey

Instructions:

Toast the mini waffles in a toaster

Use kid-friendly knife to chop fruit (we used: mangos, bananas and strawberries)

Top toasted waffle with chopped fruit

Drizzle honey on top!

Will you try this easy recipe? It's a great intro to cooking recipe! Do your kids cook? Check out the rest of the photos from the event below.
