Tristin + Tyler's Threads: 2 Ways to Wear Molo Sweats

MOLOSWEAT1

Happy Holidays! I can't beleive the new year is approaching so fast. We've got to spend time being lazy and getting fat with family at home, I hope you've had some down time too! All of this lounging around makes me think of super cozy, comfy clothing and I am love with the softness and cool detail of these Molo sweatpants. They are soft to the touch but have a really great structure so they look good with everything. In these shots I took we dressed them up a bit with shoes, and dressed them down with some sneakers. Which look do you like best? Are you or your kiddo into sweats? Visit Molo to check out more of our fave pieces, like this for boyz and this for girls. xx

3 Ways to Wear Ruum's Velvet Blazer

Unfortunately, I don't have tons of cash to buy different holiday outfits for the boys to attend all of their holiday events, so I've turned to Ruum to help me out! We are big fans of their velvet blazer and we have been switching it up in more ways than one to make it work for different events. Tyler wore it in our Holiday Style Guide and Tristin wore it on the runway at Petite Parade. It looks so awesome dressed up or dressed down so we thought we'd share a few MORE ways your little guy can wear it. Above Tyler is casual in the blazer with a plain white tee and a small pop of color from the hat.

Next up, Preppy Rocker: We like to break up classic-looking outfits with something different. With a button down, slim fit jeans and leather boots, the Preppy Rocker look is for the kid with a little edge!

Cozy Cool: Add a cozy sweater and hat to an already cool look with Ruum denim and Sneakers, and you've switched up the blazer once again. Our Cozy Cool look is all about keeping warm, but adding interest with the patterns and textures in the sweater. Tyler thought this look was the most comfortable!

Which look is your favorite look? Do you have one piece that you like to switch up as much as possible?

How to Rock Dr. Martens Camo Boots with Everything!

SONY DSC

You know how people (especially New Yorkers) buy black shoes or boots so they go with everything? Yep, I do it too. But when I style Tristin and Tyler, I do the exact opposite - I go for funky patterns and textures, and it's so easy to do with Dr. Martens boots. Even the camo boots the boys are rocking go with everything. Remember a few weeks back when Tyler rocked this for petitePARADE Kids Fashion Week? See what I mean? It's all about mixing it up! What's the trick? Well, I'll let you in on it - but just you. I find one element in the outfit that matches just a bit, then I go crazy! In these pix, Tyler rocked his camo boots with a grey sweater vest, a khaki Fall trench (khaki is also in the boots) and a poplin.  Tristin, on the other hand, picked up on the color of the boots with his army jacket, but wore a tuxedo shirt top and ripped jeans (check out the gold safety pin - love it). What do you think? Would you let your kiddo rock the camo trend? Do you mix and match patterns? xx

Tristin + Tyler ROCK the RUUM Runway at petitePARADE!

petitePARADE / Kids Fashion Week, NYC October 2014 - Day 2

YAY for Tristin and Tyler on the runway! Each season we try to take part in petitePARADE Kids Fashion Week by doing something a little different. Yes, we love sitting in the audience and taking it all in, but whether we are hosting, modeling or covering the event for a magazine, we really enjoy doing something different each season - after all, it is one of the most anticipated fashion events of the year!

This season was no exception. Tris and Ty were asked to walk for one of their favorite brands, RUUM American Kid's Wear. You've seen the boys rock their RUUM Miami style here and share their Fall faves here, but on the runway this season, it was all about the holidays as Tristin rocked a velvet blazer, and Tyler looked super toasty in his sweater and layered tees. We also got a chance to chat with Ezra and Nina, two of the forces behind RUUM, in our video below! Check it out!

Off the runway, the boys rocked a ton of black with Loud Apparel shirts, Molo and Dillonger pants. What do you think? See you next season!

petitePARADE Fall 2014 Recap: Day 1

SONY DSC

Gorgeous little guys and gals were everywhere this weekend for the 7th season of petitePARADE Kids Fashion Week. What do I love about this mini fashion parade you ask? Well, not only am I always excited to see what's on the runway, I can't wait to see what's off of it!  I love getting a glimpse of the well-dressed cuties sitting in the audience, posing with their pals or running around just being kids. Adorable I tell ya!

For the boys' style this season, I wanted to go a bit rocker, but keep things a tad preppy since they would be sitting front row and always need to be little professionals. I received a few long-sleeved plaid tops from Zara, so I cut the sleeves off of them for a little edge. Then, for Tristin, I popped on a striped tie and Molo jeans (I'm all about mixing patterns -- aren't those jeans hot!?). For Tyler, I really wanted his look to have a hint of luxe, hence the black tie with a bit of shine, black Diesel tuxedo pants and Dr. Martens.

Check out some of our favorite looks from Day 1 on the runway below. You'll see a ton more in our recap video later this week. In the meantime, try and stop yourself from saying "awww!" at the cuties below.  I double dare you! Stay tuned. xx

What's Cool: petitePARADE Kids Fashion Week Fall 2014

SONY DSC

We are so excited about the next season of petitePARADE Kids Fashion Week launching this weekend! It's one of the very few times kids shine on the runway in NYC and showcase the hottest fashion for kids. As you know, Tristin and Tyler have participated in some way for the last 4 seasons and each time they have brought something different to the event: they've reported for Time Out New York Kids, New York Family Magazine, and even hosted the shows for two seasons! This year the kiddos are reporting from behind-the-scenes and walking in the Ruum American Kids Wear show! The boys are super excited about the opportunity to strut their stuff!

If you can't make it to the show, stay tuned for our recap video which will sum it all up for you in a nice petite, fashionable package! Of course, you can always follow along on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook for instant updates.  In the meantime, check out this fun video to celebrate the start of the parade! Happy Weekend!
