Hello Spring and Happy April Fool's Day! So excited it's April and things will start warming up soon. With that in mind, we've already started piling up the Spring gear for T&T! This Spring and Summer is going to be a pretty busy time for these little guys so they have to look good! I am so into the shorts and blazer look so I found awseome shorts from J. Crew for Tyler in two colors. What do you think? As you know, the boys wear a ton of colored denim, but I want to start having them rock colored slacks. The light blue slacks on Tristin look like he is ready for Easter, right? My fave though has to be the popsicle skull tee from Munster Kids. I picked it up at Babesta. The skull doesn't look so scary with all of those colors right? Love that. A little edge, a little cool-kid pastel. What spring trends are you going to put on the kiddos? Are you ready for the warmer weather?

Happy Weekend: A Little Rest
I don't know about you, but litterally EVERY weekend in March was filled with something to do. Don't get me wrong, it was all good stuff like hitting the stage like this and cooking like that, and a few personal events -- but boy, was it all taxing. I came down with the flu because I was so over-worked between being an attorney, producing for the boyz and being a mom and wife. Does your body ever give out like that? Anyway, this weekend I am going to stay indoors as much as possible with my three crazy guys. So, whatever you do, whether indoors or out, enjoy it. Chat you up next week! xx
Tristin + Tyler's Threads: Ruff & Huddle
Spring is on the way boys and galz and we are SO ready over here at T&T headquarters! We've hooked up with some awesome brands to showcase cool-kid Spring style on the blog, and one of our new faves is London-based brand Ruff and Huddle. We rocked Ruff and Huddle on the petitePARADE Kids Fashion Week stage as we hosted the shows and we received so many awesome compliments on these London Jackets! We ADORE them! They look cool completely closed, as T&T have them with a little accessory like a scarf or sunglasses, or open with a funky tee. You've gotta check them out for your little. On our way home from Kids Fashion Week we saw this awesome ice formation and we knew it would melt soon (wishful thinking!), so we jumped out of the car to take a few pix. Isn't the ice awesome? Make sure to check out Ruff and Huddle here and let me know whatcha think! xx
Tristin + Tyler's Threads: petitePARADE Outfit #2
We're recapping the awesome brands Tristin + Tyler rocked while hosting petitePARADE last weekend. They wore a total of three outfits on stage. If you missed outfit #1, check it out here. For look #2, we changed the boys' style up a bit. Tyler had a skater-boy look going on while Tristin looked a like a little foreigner with his cool hat and polka dot Dr. Martens. Tyler is rocking Munster Kids which we picked up from our fave NYC kids shop Babesta. Munster is a brand from Australia and I love how their clothes are all about comfort (which is what boys really care about) with a little bit of edge. Tyler's shorts have a reptile pattern, but they are super soft. Tristin is rocking Loud Apparel again - we are so falling in love with that brand. Loud uses black, whites and grey to make real statement pieces, it's amazing. His tee says "one day I'll grow up." So cute!
What do you think of these outfits? Do you think dressing kids in different styles is cool, or do your kiddos always match? Stay tuned for our full petitePARADE recap, and the cool brands they wore for outfit #3.
Tristin + Tyler's Threads: petitePARADE Outfit #1
Tristin + Tyler hosted their second season of Kids Fashion Week!! It was super exciting for them (and me!). I am big fan of kids being little entrepreneurs and encouraging them to try different things to see what they love to do. petitePARADE Kids Fashion Week is always an awesome experience the boyz and so many other kids because you get a chance to check out kids expressing themselves. From the stunning models, to petite fahsionistas sitting front row and even a kid photographer, this year we didn't just enjoy the garments - the kids rocked.
Now, on with the style! Tristin + Tyler had three (yes, three) outfit changes as they hosted. I sourced from a ton of diferent places, and my sister Elena - who is a fashion executive - helped put the looks together. We went outside the U.S. and worked with some really cool brands you might not know yet -- you're welcome!
LOVING these this super-comfy clothes by Loud Apparel. Loud is based in London, but because the creator is Italian, there is a mix of both a London + Italian flair in all of their pices. The best part? The boys were so comfortable as they memorized their lines, meeted and greeted people in a busy child and photograher filled, backstage.
The boots? Oh, the boots. How we love thee. I mean really, there isn't much to say about how awesome these boots are, just look at them! And if we know Dr. Martens, we know they are durable.
Have you heard of Brian Lichtenberg? He is huge with celebrities for his gear and accessories that mock famous clothing brands. Tristin rocked this gold and black "Homies" tee -- a play off of the brand Hermes. I love how the gold matched his glasses. It looks great on stage.
The brown boots? Of course! Dr. Martens. Oh, did you notice the boys HATE to tie their shoes! Ahhh! Drives me nuts, but looks cute, huh?
Stay tuned for a recap of our favorite looks from Kids Fashion Week and a rundown of outfits 2 and 3 tomorrow.

What's Cool: Tristin + Tyler Rock the Kids Food Festival!
This past weekend the boys cooked a fruit-topped, healthy snack for kids during their live (yes, live!) demonstration at the Kids Food Festival called SNACK ATTACK: Fun Snacks for Kids, By Kids. You know those times when your kid is SO hungry after school that you have to have a snack prepared, or you send them to an afterschool program with an extra snack? Well that's what their demo was all about -- teaching kids how to make a healthy snack right after school with little to no help from parents! It was so great to watch the boys have fun on stage, teach kids about cooking and eating healthy and actually see festival-goers love what the boys made!
Tristin + Tyler made mini waffle bites topped with fruit and a drizzle of honey. What I love most about this recipe is that it's super easy, and kids can add whatever fruit they want! Want to try it? Here's the recipe:
Ingridients: Frozen mini waffle bites + Fruit of Choice + Honey
Instructions:
Toast the mini waffles in a toaster
Use kid-friendly knife to chop fruit (we used: mangos, bananas and strawberries)
Top toasted waffle with chopped fruit
Drizzle honey on top!
Will you try this easy recipe? It's a great intro to cooking recipe! Do your kids cook? Check out the rest of the photos from the event below.
