It's hard to find media that is appropriate for kids these days, don't ya think? Especially when it comes to music, that's why I love independent kids musicians. Independent musicians do such a great job at keeping kids engaged with upbeat happy messages. Recently, Tristin and Tyler were invited to See the musical Wanda's Monster, a wonderful production based on the music of Laurie Berkner and the book by Barbara Zinn Krieger.
The musical follows little Wanda as she deals with the frightening thought that there is a monster in her closet. Oh yes, it's true -- there is a monster in her closet, but the monster ends up being one of the best friends Wanda has ever had. I love stories that show children anything is possible, and remind them to never judge a book by its cover. That's exactly what this film did, with good music and great acting to boot I might add!
Tristin and Tyler saw the show with their twin best buds Najah and Naveah, who are super duper Laurie Berkner fans. They were so excited to meet her!
Will you take the kids to see Wanda's Monster? You have untill May 12th! I think it's a perfect pre-Mother's Day event to attend with the kids! And, it's about fifty minutes long, so the little ones don't have time to get too fidgety. Good music, great story and a big furry friend who shows lots of love. What's better?
Learn more about the show here, and let me know if you go. Would love to hear your thoughts.
