Tristin + Tyler's Threads: Chilly Spring Wear

So, it's officially Spring, but it doesn't quite feel like it in NYC. Today it was in the 40s in the morning, warmed up a bit at 2pm and then on the trip home it feel like 25 with the wind! Woah!  Knowing how to dress in this weather is so confusing. So worried about getting it right so that they boys don't get sick!  Here's my attempt: I styled the boys in warmer jackets, a motorcycle leather from MOLO with a chunky scarf on Tyler, and a toasty dress coat, knit hat and sweatshirt on Tristin.  How do you dress the kiddos when the weather is weird?

Good luck trying to figure it out! :)

Tristin + Tyler's Threads: Is it Summer?

So....it's a bit scary, but almost everyday this month the weather has been amazing, like a cool summer day in New York. Literally sixty degrees in the middle of December? Yep.

I can't say that I am disappointed, but it definitely doesn't feel right but...when it comes to style, you just gotta roll with the punches, right?  So to rise to the occasion, I pulled out some lighter colors and fabrics for the boys to rock.  Check out Tristin's jacket and pants, and Tyler's blazer from Bonnie Young, the hot Zebra top from online shop Shan and Toad by Emile Et Ida, and Tyler's Molo shirt from Babesta and of course, Dr. Martens. Stay tuned because this week we are giving away a free pair of Dr. Martens, BUT you have to sign up for our newsletter to enter to win!

By the way you'll notice the boys are seriously cracking up in these pictures, that was thanks to their friend Ava who hung out with us for a bit and could not stop making the boys giggle.

What do you think about this weather? It is crazy warm where you are too?

Tristin + Tyler's Threads: Rich Boys

I'm super excited about these images I shot of the boys in Rich Boys. Doesn't it look like a music video, or an album cover for two hot music stars? Yep, that was the vibe I was going for and Rich Boys makes it sooo easy because they have these pieces with unique details you can't find anywhere else.

Check out the print on Tristin's shirt, and the details on his jeans with the gold zippers. And when have you ever seen painted jeans like Tyler's? A work of art I tell you! And you don't have to wear the pieces all at once, you take one statement item and one plain item and it really looks hot.

Check out Rich Boys here and let us know if you see anything you like. Oh, and despite the name, they don't only make clothes for boys, by the way.  What do you think about stepping boys style up a bit from the classic jeans and sweats?  Let me know in the comments below.

It's August! I can't believe that it is really August. I am a bit freaked out about how fast this summer has gone, so I am still trying to keep the summer alive through my photo shoots and how I style T&T.  Like this shoot with Tristin and Tyler in Washington Heights (where I grew up).  We partnered with Poster Child Style to do this feature with really cool sweat pants + sweat shorts, paired with Ralph Lauren polo shirts. Sweats have really made a comeback this year, especially for little dudes, and they are oh so comfortable for T&T.

Head to the Poster Child Blog to see the rest of the photos! xo, Tiffany

Tristin + Tyler's Threads: Converse Chucks Mono Collection

I love the intersection between art and fashion. How cool are these new Converse Chucks Mono Collection sneakers from Kids Foot Locker set against Tyler's paintings?  Our family loves to get creative. We have a mini "art studio" in our apartment. You can see a corner of it below. The boys (including their father) paint and draw, I edit my photos and videos and we're all one creative bunch.  I took these photos with a beat up red backdrop (adds a little grit, no?) and Tyler's paintings. I literally thought of this shoot idea while making breakfast and threw it together before they went to a b-day party one morning.  Do you ever think of something and just have to go do it? Do you have a spot at home where you can get creative and get work done? Tell me in the comments below.  Oh, new video coming this week. Don't forget to subscribe to Tristin + Tyler's channel here. xo, Tiffany

Tristin + Tyler's Threads: Molo Spring/Summer 2015

MOLO20151.jpg

MOLO20151 We do a ton of moving around the city every week. Whether it's me running to grab the boys for sports after school, or to an audition or shoot, we are big on just hopping in the car or on the subway and just doing. For T and T, it's all about being comfortable when we move around so  much. Lord knows I hate to hear them whine about something being too tight, or uncomfortable. So I always need a cool brand that the boys can be active in. These Molo knee length sweat shorts and tees had the boys enjoying their weekend in the sand for sure. Molo is one of my favorite brands for dudes because they always pay attention to the details; like the cool star on the back of the shorts and the funky way they use numbers in their logo. Who else gets that clever with kids wear? Oh, and let's not forget that they are masters with graphic design - i mean look at this and this! Check out Molo here and let me know what you think! Do you love unique features, or is classic your thing?

PS More on the fun location we shot these images in, in a separate post this week. Stay tuned!
