Tristin + Tyler's Threads: Ruum Fall Favorites

SONY DSC

Hello, Fall! Surprisingly, I'm actually ready for fall. I love the crisp temperatures, wearing slightly more layers and snuggling up in a down blanket at night. For us, fall wear is all about having a few key items that the boys can easily throw on in the morning. What's essential? A jean jacket and a plaid shirt that matches with everything. I love this dark denim jacket from Ruum because it goes with just about anything, and it has a zipper for extra warmth. Lately, the trend is rocking sweatpants with everything from graphic tees to poplins, and the boys love it so Tyler is wearing sweatpants with the jacket, and the plaid shirt..see what I mean? So easy and cool. After all, comfort is all boys really care about! Plaid shirts are great for buttoning up to the top, or leaving open with a graphic tee under. What are your fall favorites? Do you get something every year that the kids just have to have?

Tristin + Tyler's Threads: 3 Ways to Rock UGG Australia

SONY DSC

You're probably familiar with UGG Australia because of their super-comfy, uber-toasty boots that are a must-have each winter -- especially for women and little girls. Well, let me enlighten those of you who don't know ALL that UGG has to offer kiddos these days. From soft, suede slip-ons, to lace up shoes that can be dressed up or down, UGG has expanded their offerings for little guys, and we are too excited about collecting every pair! Why, you ask? Well for me, it's really hard to get the boys to want to wear dress-up shoes. So the comfort of the UGG shoes on the inside, with the dressed-up, neat look on the outside, makes it easy for the boys to slip them on, skip the whining, and be a little less casual when they have to leave the sneakers at home to go to a meeting or audition. Since these shoes are so versatile, we've shared three looks with you: rocker dude, casual cool and super-preppy! Which look is your fave? Are you a fan of UGG? Do you or your kiddos rock them? xo

Back to Cool Style Guide 2014

SONY DSC

I know some of your littles are already back in school so we're a little late (sorry!) -- but since Tristin + Tyler don't start till early September, we've put together a BACK TO COOL STYLE GUIDE to give you our list of fashion must-haves for back to school! We worked with some of our favorite brands to bring you a shoppable mini-magazine full of style ideas. What do I mean by "shoppable"? Well, pretty much every image allows you to click it and go directly to where you can buy it online -- cool huh!? If you're interested in something that doesn't have a link, just leave a comment below and I will get back to you on where you can find it.  It's taken weeks to put this together with me shooting all the images, sourcing the style finds and working around the schedules of our fab models, Madison, Brianna and T&T -- but it was so worth it! Thanks to all who helped get this together! Are you ready?? Click HERE or the image below to check it out! We hope you enjoy!

Let us know what you think in the comments below and HAPPY NEW SCHOOL YEAR

xx Tiffany

Tristin + Tyler Featured In: Cabbages + Kids F/W Lookbook

Good accessories can make any outfit pop don't cha think? Cabbages & Kings is a children's apparel line that we've loved for years! Remember this shoot? It's one of my faves, specifically because of the scarves. Tristin + Tyler were asked to model for Cabbages & Kings F/W 2014 lookbook and we were so excited! The brand is run by an awesome entrepreneur and mom, Alexandra Gizela. Thanks to her, and just in time for back to school, you can say buh-bye to itchy wool scarves and hello to super durable + soft, handmade pieces from Peru that your kids probably won't lose because they like them so much! Sounds like a win-win to me! Check out the pics below and make sure to check out the rest of the lookbook here! xx

Tristin + Tyler's Threads: Making the Band + Back to School

SONY DSC

MAKING THE BAND:

School is quickly creeping up on us! I can't beleive there are only a couple of weeks to go! We're not too excited. It's the boyz last year in elementary school and I think we are all a little anxious about them graduating, making new friends and fitting in. I tell them their individuality is important, so fitting in is not what counts but ofcourse they want to fit in somewhere. We called this shoot Making The Band because it was a reminder that they can rock to the sound of their own music, and don't need to be part of anyone's song. Their outtits are already tons of funky, and the boys wanted to incorporate some of their instruments to show even more individuality. Love that they are taking on an active role in everything they do these dayz.

THE OUTFITS:

Do you see those Stinky McGee suspenders the boys are wearng? I mean really - so cool! They come with matching bowties and this brand makes everyting right in Brooklyn. Love supporting local artists and brands! The shorts and jeans are from our friends at MOLO - details, they are experts at them. Can you beleive UGG Australia made Tristin's blue shoes? Tris says they are super comfortable, and I love that they can be dressed up or down! Oh and Tyler's Jamz tee, he wears it all the time - it fits right in with our music theme! You'll be seeing more from all of these brands on T&T!

Street Style: Pristine Finesse

PFN_4636 copy

I am a big fan of great photography and street style. I happend to fall in love with images from the street style blog Pristine Finesse and YAY the boys were lucky to be photographed by Lindsey Trimble, the photographer and owner of the site. I was so excited that T&T were the only kids featured on the blog thus far, I'm sure that won't last long after this post!  Not only was Lindsey nice to the boys (my number one criteria when the boys are working with a photographer that's not me!), he has an amazing eye and an edge to his work that really captures New York City. So awesome. See the rest of the photos of the boyz HERE, and if you need great fashion/street style images, definitely shoot him en email!
