I'm in the midst of really trying to organize myself you know, like really get my house in order for the Winter. Since I shoot a lot of photos, I am also trying to find a way to easily organize it all. It's so hard. I mean I've been taking style photos for this website every week since the boys were 5!
Anyway, I found these images from a night I wanted to write a post about simple layering when it's not quite cold enough for a bigger coat yet. It's older, wanted to share it anyway.
Layering is all about mixing it up, even if it's the same color. I layered the boys in different patterns and textures in blue. From Tyler's scarf to the cuff on Tristin's jeans, the goal was to definitely not match. Both outfits are from the Gap and the sneakers are DVF for Gap Kids.
What do you think? Do you ever break up one color like this when you dress yourself or the kids, or are you all about matching? Let me know in the comments below.
