If you're like me, you've already packed away the winter clothes so the unseasonably cool weather in New York is a shocker. In case your dealing with the same issue, I'm sharing some ideas for stylishly keeping warm.
Add A Shirt Underneath
If your kiddo is dead set on wearing his favorite graphic t-shirt and you know he's going to totally toss his jacket as soon as he can, have them wear a woven or other long-sleeved top underneath the tee like we did in this feature. It's definitely a cool look and it gives the tee a little structure (perfect for school) and it's a win-win: your kiddo gets his tee, you keep him warm. Done and done.
Add a Fun In-Between Item
I love adding a little unexpected something. Instead of sticking with the classic shirt and jacket, try adding an unexpected layer like a unique vest, maybe leather, textured or a soft knit?
Rock A Hat
It's never the wrong time for a cool hat and I learned years back that body heat really starts with covering your head. Why not try a hat? It could be a plain knit, a baseball cap or something more flashy like a bowler or a Kangol-type that was popular in the 80s.
